May 4, 2018 – Dubai, UAE:

The Future Blockchain Summit represented an immense opportunity for HLC Technologies to participate in the discussion around the industrial revolution that is taking place. Many industry leaders are strong believers that blockchain technology is going to drive society forward and provide seamless solutions to various challenges present in today’s biosphere.

HLC Technologies and HalalChain Co-Founder, Dr. Sulaiman Liu, delivered a keynote speech at the summit, whereby he presented HalalChain as a traceability solution that represents a real-world application of blockchain technology by addressing various current challenges in the Halal sector. Combining IoT and Blockchain technology, HalalChain solution is able to track food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic products from the time of inception to the time of consumption, collecting data across the entire supply chain to offer the end-users adequate transparency and therefore increase their trust and confidence in the product they consume.

The flagship event also saw HalalChain Co-Founder, Saad Mohib, invited on stage to be part of a panel discussion alongside Smart Dubai Senior Project Manager, Mohamed Al Sharid, Hyperledger Executive Director Brian Behlendorf and Sergio Fernandez de Cordova, Co-Founder and Vice-Chair of the Blockchain Commission for Sustainable Development.

The discussion revolved around the use-cases of blockchain technology, especially in the food sector, where the transparency of the processes will enable food suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and safe products for consumption. Saad Mohib said: “We are excited to be part of the community that is looking forward to a better tomorrow, and with Dubai’s vision to be the leader in blockchain technology, we feel we are in the right place to make a significant and positive impact around us and around the globe”.
